MODULE ONE: An Introduction to Ayurveda and the Doshas
In week one, you will be introduced to the yoga, breathing, and meditation techniques. You will learn the basics of Ayurveda and learn how your Ayurvedic mind-body type; which is important in order to restore balance. Learning your Ayurvedic mind-body type will assist you in reducing symptoms and become more in tune with your own body’s natural inclinations.
MODULE TWO: Food as Medicine-The Ayurvedic Diet
In this session, you will learn about an Ayurvedic Lifestyle diet, the six tastes, and which foods to choose in order to bring balance to your mind-body type. You will learn about general nutrition, as well as ways to enhance a sluggish appetite, eliminate abdominal discomfort and reduce problems of constipation. We will talk about ways to expedite weight loss.
MODULE THREE: Ayurvedic Daily Routine, Seasonal Routine, Detoxification of the Body
In week three, you will learn how Ayurveda can detoxify your mind and body. We will study an ideal daily routine and which methods of exercise will rebalance your mind-body type. If you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), we will explore ways to alleviate your discomfort during the winter season. In this session, we will also discuss methods to completely eliminate insomnia or other sleep disturbances.
MODULE FOUR: Healing Emotions & Relationships
During this extremely important session, you will learn how to effectively release your emotions and communicate your needs. By applying the amazing work of Marshall Rosenberg, Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, you will gain tools to improve all of your relationships. You will also go through exercises to discover your personal needs and desires; which will help focus your life’s goals.
MODULE FIVE: Simple Strategies to Heal Your Body with Ayurveda
Your body has amazing healing capabilities; in lesson five you will acquire ways to access your inner pharmacy through the five senses. This hands on lesson will not only keep you laughing but will also give you simple tools to minimize anxiety and panic attacks, reduce hearing loss or tinnitus, improve eyesight, improve circulation and give you an overall sense of well being.
MODULE SIX: An Exploration of Dharma/ Your Life’s Purpose
Have you ever asked yourself, Why am I here? or What is my purpose? Are you dissatisfied with your job or career? Do you wish there was something more to your life? In this module, we will explore what life purpose is and how to find out yours. You won’t want to miss this deep and enlightening experience.
Imagine yourself being healthy 365 days out of the year and knowing that you have the tools to not only get healthy but to stay healthy. Envision yourself living your life’s purpose and not wondering whether or not your just letting the precious days of your life pass you by.
